This is the happiest occasion of this day I would like to remind you all that the ensuing world human rights day set aside on 10th December.  Human rights day is an occasion for the people world wide to know and consider like universal declaration of human rights. Human rights are our basic rights or freedoms. They include our right to live, our right to health, education, freedom of speech and thoughts, and equal rights.

    The name "United Nations", coined by United States President Franklin D. Roosevelt was first used in the Declaration by United Nations of 1 January 1942, during Second World War. 193 Member States of the United Nations is a member of the General Assembly.  

   The main organs of the UN are the General Assembly, the Security Council, the Economic and Social Council, the Trusteeship Council, the International Court of Justice, and the UN Secretariat.  All were established in 1945 when the UN was founded.

   The Charter of the United Nations was signed on 26 June 1945, in San Francisco, at the conclusion of the United Nations Conference on International Organization, and came into force on 24 October 1945. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) is a milestone document in the history of human rights. Drafted by representatives with different legal and cultural backgrounds from all regions of the world, the Declaration was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in Paris on 10 December 1948 (General Assembly resolution 217 A) as a common standard of achievements for all peoples and all nations. It sets out, for the first time, fundamental human rights to be universally protected and it has been translated into over 500languages.

  The goals of the United Nations are: to keep world peace,to help countries get along, to improve living conditions for people all over the
 world  and to make the world a better place.
  The Universal Declaration of Human Rights holds the Guinness World Record as the most translated document. Yet, far too many people are still unaware of their basic rights as human beings. Human rights are everyone's rights. Know your rights, and help spread the word:  Read and share the Universal Declaration of Human Rights Now-a-days, more and more countries, states and local provinces celebrate this day due to so many ill practices that are prevalent across the globe.

   Each year Human Rights Day has a theme. Some of these themes have focused on people knowing their human rights or the importance of human rights education. This year Human Rights Day's theme Human Rights Day 2017: Stand up for human rights: 70th anniversary of the UDHR . Next year –on 10 December 2018 – we will celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and this year’s Human Rights Day on Sunday marks the beginning of a year-long 70th anniversary commemoration.
